Sheet Metal Fabrication
Sheet Metal Fabrication put simply is the building of different types of metal structures by cutting, bending, welding, and assembling processes.
How does it work?
It is a skilled process that involves the construction of machines and structures from various raw materials. These processes can be carried out by using high tech equipment, but some of the more traditional techniques are still the best for many requirements.
A fabrication shop will bid on a job, usually based on engineering drawings, and if awarded the contract will build the product. Most fabrication shops will employ a multitude of skilled personnel along with specialised equipment, and together can form processes in one plant or facility including welding, cutting, forming, finishing and machining.
Alma Engineering offer additional value to their customers by combining this all under one roof, thus limiting the need for the customer to use various suppliers for one item, saving them time and money.
Metal Fabrication jobs usually start with the customer providing details of their requirements, this idea can then be drawn up using our CAD system, this will give instruction to the shop-floor on how to build the item, once the item is made we will provide delivery sometimes installation of the final project. Over the years Alma Engineering have worked on projects which include Full Turn-Key Conveyor Systems, Electrical Control Panels, Cabinets for X-Ray Machines, Hygiene Equipment, Structural Frames for buildings, Stairs and Hand Railings for Health & Safety purposes, Machined Rollers, Numerous Machined Components, Tables, Benches, Just about everything.
